Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me. :la:
Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang. :D
The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

LOOOOONG TIME...

Hey people what's up!
Really long time since my last journal...I was kind of forgetting that I have some good friends & watchers over here!

I can say 2011 is being one of the most productive years ever, recently made a new update on my website, with new look, new works, and probably will make a massive update in a month. I'm waiting for some clients that with the 80% of the work done they disappeared mysteriously...it's not a big deal at all because I never passed them the final artwork...but let's stay positive GERRRRRRRRRRRRRRHAAAA!!

On the other hand, Slashthree is coming with a lot of news and exciting things; staff trusted me and i became creative director on the collective, which is a pretty good thing, plus the new exhibition is going to be crazy.

Oh! about collaborations...currently fighting with my friends Angel Pérez (mixmasterangel) & Adrian Romero (vision) in a couple of illustrations.
Hope finish them soon and showing you over here.

O_O ¿Director creativo? Eso sí que es un retorno a lo grande :aww: ... me alegro muchísimo, y de seguro tus ideas llevarán a Slashtree a otro nivel, sin dudaXD. En cuanto a tus clientes, tranquilo, como bien dicen arriba, si no vuelven, pues ya tienes un par de piezas más para enseñar, customizalas a tu estilo, y punto....En fin, ya nos enseñarás ese porrón de piezas que tienes escondidas.

bueno pues la verdad que las ideas ya se estan dando en un proyecto y va a estar bastante bien.

en cuanto a los clientes...arghhh...no todas las piezas son dignas de portfolio, date cuenta que son cosas...muy en ocasiones, poco creativas. no se.

Las piezas escondidas, tengo como 10 o asi pero vamos a este ritmo de trabajo no saco naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.
